What Is This About?

If you recently received a letter or an email from Radiologic Medical Services, P.C. (“RMS”) informing you that your sensitive personal and protected health information was compromised in a data breach, we would like to speak with you about your rights and potential legal remedies. Radiologic Medical Services recently disclosed that it was the victim of a data breach that exposed individuals’ sensitive personal and protected health information.

What Happened?

On February 26, 2024, Radiologic Medical Services, P.C. became aware of suspicious activity related to an employee email account. The organization immediately launched an investigation with the help of external cybersecurity experts. Through this investigation, it was determined that two employee email accounts were accessed by an unauthorized third party between February 22, 2024, and March 19, 2024. RMS conducted a thorough data review and completed the process on September 13, 2024, identifying affected individuals. On November 12, 2024, RMS reported the breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (“HHS”) and posted a notice of the incident to its website. Notification letters were mailed to impacted individuals beginning October 6, 2025.

What Information Was Impacted?

RMS has not yet specified the information impacted in the breach. Because RMS has reported the breach to the U.S. HHS and to states such as Vermont, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:
  • Personally Identifiable Information such as names with Social Security number, payment account information, and government-issued identification numbers (e.g., driver’s license or passport number); and
