What Happened?

Between November 15 and November 20, 2024, an unauthorized third party gained access to systems belonging to Physicians to Children & Adolescents (PTCA). Upon learning of this activity, PTCA initiated an investigation with the assistance of third-party forensic experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation concluded on August 27, 2025, and confirmed that an unauthorized party may have accessed or acquired sensitive personal and protected health information contained within PTCA’s internal network. PTCA then conducted a detailed review of the compromised data to determine what information was affected and identify the individuals impacted. On October 24, 2025, PTCA posted notice of the data breach on its website and filed an official notice with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:

  • Social Security number; ;
