After discovering this, PhyNet took immediate steps to secure its email systems and launched an investigation to assess the incident's scope. The investigation found that a limited number of email accounts had been compromised, and that personal data contained in these accounts may have been accessed. PhyNet conducted a thorough review of the files involved and, on June 6, 2025, identified that patient information from Total Vein & Skin, LLC d/b/a Premier Dermatology Partners (TVS) may have been affected. On July 29, 2025, PhyNet filed a notice with the Attorney General of Massachusetts and began sending notification letters to affected individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:
  • Full name;
  • Address;
  • Social Security number;
  • Financial account information;
  • Date of birth;
  • Medical history information;
  • Treatment information;
  • Diagnosis information;
  • Treating physician;
  • Medical record number; and
