What Happened?

On February 10, 2025, PacRes Mortgage became aware of a security incident that involved a ransomware lockdown of some of its systems. Upon detection, PacRes Mortgage launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to sensitive information maintained within the compromised systems. PacRes Mortgage conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On March 25, 2025, PacRes Mortgage identified persons whose sensitive data was included in the impacted data. On March 26, 2025, PacRes Mortgage filed a notice with the California Attorney General and started sending out notice letters to the impacted individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:

  • Social Security number,
  • Driver’s license number,
  • Financial account information, and
  • Similar information that may have been impacted or accessed
