What Happened?

On January 14, 2025, Morton Golf became aware of a security incident on its internal network systems. Upon detection, Morton Golf launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. On February 24, 2025, the investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to Morton Golf’s systems and may have accessed and removed certain sensitive information. Morton Golf conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On April 4, 2025, Morton Golf filed a notice with the Attorney General of California and began sending out notice letters to the impacted individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:
  • Name,
  • Social Security number,
  • Driver’s license number, California ID card number, tax identification number, passport number, military ID number, or other unique ID number issued on a government document,
  • Account number or credit or debit card number, in combination with any required security code, access code, or password that would permit access to an individual’s financial account,
  • Medical information,
  • Health insurance information,
  • Unique biometric data generated from measurements or technical analysis of human body characteristics, such as a fingerprint, retina, or iris image, used to authenticate a specific individual, and
  • Genetic information
