What Happened?

In late 2024, Monro became aware of a security incident involving an employee’s electronic mailbox. Upon detection, Monro launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cyber security experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized third party accessed the employee’s mailbox and selected files for a limited time in late November 2024. Monro conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On January 28, 2025, Monro identified persons whose sensitive data was included in the impacted data. On March 21, 2025, Monro made a public disclosure with the California Attorney General and started sending out notice letters to the impacted individuals

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:
  • Name,
  • Social Security number,
  • Address,
  • Date of birth,
  • ID number, and
  • Certain health information collected from employees, such as accident history
