On January 28, 2025, Miracle Ear became aware of a security incident on its computer network. Upon detection, Miracle Ear launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that unauthorized actors accessed Miracle Ear’s systems between January 2, 2025, and January 28, 2025. Miracle Ear conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On August 12, 2025, Miracle Ear filed a notice with the Attorney General’s offices of Montana and Washington and started sending notice letters to impacted individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

The following types of information may have been compromised:
  • Name;
  • Contact Information (Phone Number, Email Address, Postal Address);
  • Date of Birth;
  • Driver’s License Number;
  • Social Security Number;
  • Patient ID;
  • Medical Treatment or Diagnosis; and
  • Health Insurance Information (Insurance Policy Number, Subscriber Identification Number, Claims History, Appeal Records).
