What Happened?

Loretto Hospital recently became aware of a security incident on its computer network. Upon detection, Loretto launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to the hospital's network between January 17, 2025, and February 1, 2025. During this time, approximately 1.5 terabytes of data were allegedly copied by a ransomware group known as RansomHouse. Additionally, certain data input into the electronic medical record system between the evening of February 2, 2025, and the afternoon of February 3, 2025, was not saved. Loretto conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On April 4, 2025, Loretto Hospital made a public disclosure and may soon begin notifying impacted individuals.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:
