What Happened?

On October 11, 2024, Legacy and CTS became aware of a security incident involving unauthorized access to their network. Upon discovery, Legacy and CTS promptly took steps to mitigate the threat, including taking certain systems offline. Legacy and CTS engaged third-party cybersecurity professionals to investigate the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation, which concluded on November 13, 2024, determined that an unauthorized actor accessed and acquired personal information, including Protected Health Information (PHI), between October 6, 2024, and October 11, 2024. The INTERLOCK ransomware group has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating they obtained approximately 170 GB of data, including internal documents, patient records, and a large SQL database. Legacy conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and continues to notify affected individuals as required by law.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:

  • Date of birth,
  • Social Security number,
  • Health information,
  • Patient records,
  • Internal documents, and
  • SQL database contents
