What Happened?

On March 12, 2025, Lee Valley became aware of suspicious activity on a cloud server supporting its website. Upon discovery, Lee Valley immediately launched an investigation, engaged third-party cybersecurity experts, and took steps to secure its website and customer data. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party captured certain credit card information entered into Lee Valley's website between October 8, 2024, and March 12, 2025. Lee Valley conducted a thorough review of the impacted data and, on March 28, 2025, determined that some customers’ personal information had been impacted. As of April 9, 2025, Lee Valley filed a notice with Maine Attorney General’s office and began notifying affected individuals.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:
