What Happened?

On December 12, 2024, Kelly Benefits became aware of suspicious activity within its environment. Upon detection, Kelly Benefits launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party forensic specialists to determine the nature and scope of the activity. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to Kelly Benefits’ environment between December 12, 2024, and December 17, 2024, and certain files were copied and taken. Kelly Benefits conducted a comprehensive and detailed review of the impacted files to determine what information was compromised and to whom it related. This review was completed on March 3, 2025. After completing its analysis, Kelly Benefits filed a notice with Maine Attorney General’s office and began mailing notice letters to the impacted individuals on April 9, 2025.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:
  • Name,
  • Social Security numbers,
  • Tax ID numbers,
  • Dates of birth,
  • Financial account information,
  • Medical information, and
  • Health insurance information
