What Happened?

Fidelity Life Association recently became aware of a security incident on its network. Upon detection, Fidelity Life launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The internal investigation confirmed that unauthorized access to confidential information had occurred. It remains unclear whether the breach originated within Fidelity Life’s systems directly or through one of its third-party vendors or partners. Following discovery of the breach, Fidelity Life conducted a comprehensive review of all compromised files to identify affected individuals, and the personal information exposed. On April 4, 2025, Fidelity Life filed a notice with the Texas Attorney General's Office and may soon start sending notice letters to the impacted individuals.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised:

  • Driver’s license number, and
  • Medical information
