What Happened?

On January 23, 2025, Empire Group became aware of a security incident on its internal systems. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to Empire Group's systems between January 16 and January 24, 2025. Empire Group conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On March 31, 2025, Empire Group identified persons whose sensitive data was included in the impacted data. On April 17, 2025, Empire Group filed a notice with the Attorney General of Massachusetts and started sending out notice letters to the impacted individuals.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:

  • Social Security number
