What Happened?

CPI recently became aware of a security incident on its computer network. Upon detection, CPI launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party accessed CPI's systems at various times between September 12, 2024, and September 23, 2024, and certain information contained within those systems was viewed or copied by the unauthorized actor during that time. CPI conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identified affected individuals. On April 8, 2025, CPI filed a notice with the Maine Attorney General's Office and started sending out notice letters to the impacted individuals.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:
  • Name, and
  • Social Security number
