The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to the Companies’ IT network between September 2, 2025, and September 8, 2025. On November 19, 2025, California Casualty filed a notice with the Attorney General of Maine and may soon begin mailing notification letters to impacted individuals.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:
  • Names;
  • Social Security numbers;
  • Driver’s license or state identification numbers;
  • Dates of birth;
  • Tax identification numbers; and
  • Financial account numbers.
