What Happened?

On August 14, 2025, iQ Credit Union’s third-party vendor, Marquis Software Solutions, detected suspicious activity on its network and confirmed that it had experienced a ransomware attack. Upon detection, Marquis launched an investigation with the assistance of cybersecurity experts to determine the nature and scope of the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to Marquis’s systems and obtained sensitive data. Marquis then conducted a comprehensive review of the impacted data to determine what information was compromised and identify affected individuals. On November 26, 2025, the incident was reported to the Attorney General of Washington.

What Information Was Impacted?

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal information may have been compromised:
  • Name;
  • Social Security number;
  • Address;
  • Phone number;
  • Taxpayer identification number;
  • Financial account information; and
  • Date of birth.
